DCSA and the European Shippers’ Council agree to collaborate to drive adoption of DCSA standards

AMSTERDAM, BRUSSELS, 3 August, 2022 — Ongoing supply chain disruption has highlighted the urgency for closer collaboration between cargo owners and ocean carriers to improve cargo visibility and data communication. Digital Container Shipping Association (DCSA), a neutral, non-profit group established to further standardise digitalisation of container shipping, and the European Shippers’ Council (ESC), representing cargo owners, today announce their joint collaboration to accelerate adoption of DCSA standards and enable a better customer experience for shippers. The associations will leverage DCSA’s open-source, vendor-neutral standards to help their members and other business partners make data exchange more timely, accurate and interoperable.
