3 October 2024, 9.30-11.30, ESC Secretary General Godfried Smit will speak at the IRU online webinar on the new ICS2 import declaration in road transport.
The webinar will cover:
- EU’s legal framework and timelines
- Implementation framework for: 1) Road goods transport and the broader logistics chain; 2) Maritime, including intermodal and combined accompanied and unaccompanied operations
- Safety and security measures introduced by ICS2
- ICS2 datasets
- Role of freight forwarders and shippers
This meeting is an opportunity to exchange views and raise concerns with the European Commission and other stakeholders.
