Transport accounts for approximately 21% of global GHG emissions according to the International Energy Agency. To enable market uptake of innovation, evidence-based impact assessment of the emission reductions from the implementation of innovative solutions is needed. To address this need, the Entrance project consortium is organising this training webinar to provide introduction on current practices.
Objective of the seminar: Help innovation investors, buyers, and owners to develop a common understanding of how to assess the impacts of innovative solutions on emissions reduction.
Proposed speakers:
- Alan Lewis, Technical Development Direct at Smart Freight Centre: “The Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC) Framework
- Ross Mathison, Investor Manager at Baillie Gifford: “An investors perspective on sustainable transport projects”
- Andrea Fossa, Founder and CEO at GreenRouter: “Innovative tool to manage carbon footprint in logistics”
- Mariia Cutivet, Sustainability Expert at EINRIDE: “How do we calculate the emission reductions from our innovation?”
- Lukas Kramer, Sustainability Innovation Lead at Transporeon: “Showcase: How data quality helps to manage transport emissions for IKEA and Girteka”

Notes:
The GLEC Framework is the only globally recognized methodology for harmonized calculation and reporting of the logistics GHG footprint across the multi-modal supply chain. The framework is designed to inform business decisions and steer efforts to reduce emissions. It is in alignment with Greenhouse Gas Protocol, UN-led Global Green Freight Action Plan and CDP reporting.
