ESC and ALICE have now successfully held the second AUTOSUP webinar on “How can we protect our critical (port) infrastructure to enable safe logistics and trade?“. There were five speakers providing insights on the key questions around automation in ports, protection against cyberattacks, resilience, and multimodal freight transport.
Andreas Kortenhaus (ESC) gave an introduction to the webinar by providing an overview of the challenges and introducing the AUTOSUP project. Ricardo Figueiredo (ENISA) and Jocelyn Aubert (LIST) provided their insights in cyberattacks and developments in protecting against them, Joeri Vandeperre (POAB) reflected on ongoing protections and security innovations in the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, and eventually Jan Tore Pedersen (MARLO) presented the SARIL project and focussed on necessary changes for improving the resilience of (port) infrastructures.
The programme of the webinar, the presentations, and the minutes of the webinar can be found here.
AUTOSUP information
AUTOSUP is a European-funded project defining the transition path for transforming SC nodes such as ports and intermodal hubs into seamlessly operating multimodal automatic freight transport platforms.
In AUTOSUP, the partners will develop concrete operational models for end-to-end intermodal logistics, focusing on the link of the Port of Antwerp-Bruges and the Port of Trieste with road corridors, rail, inland waterways and airports. The two ports will serve as ‘Living Hubs’ (LH) in which the operational and cost efficiency, and user acceptance of the automation solutions will be validated in the 6 use cases which cover all existing and also new modes of transport.
