On 25 May 2023, from 12:00 to 14:00h, EURACTIV is organising this in-person round-table discussion on the potential of hydrogen. 

To harness the potential of hydrogen in various branches of the economy, a cross-sectoral approach is necessary, including its use in transportation, heating, and industry. This will require collaboration between different industries and governments to create a cohesive strategy for the development of the hydrogen economy.

Questions to be discussed include:

• What are the key strategic directions that need to be taken to accelerate the development of the hydrogen economy in Europe, and how can the European Hydrogen Bank effectively contribute to this process?
• How do legal and economic aspects of hydrogen investments play a role in this development? And how can the current energy crisis be seen as an opportunity to increase the adoption of hydrogen?
• How can a cross-sectoral approach be utilised to leverage the potential of hydrogen in various branches of the economy?
