ESC has considered the remarks made by the World Shipping Council about the ITF working document ‘Container Shipping in Europe’, in particular, on the customer satisfaction survey launched by ESC together with Drewry.
ESC stresses that this survey is a useful tool to monitor customer perception on service quality of container shipping and shippers are eager to start a dialogue with carriers to reach a better understanding between stakeholders and achieve a higher quality of services.
The studies have been carried under the scope of service given throughout time, and not under the BER deadlines, nor under any “what if” scenarios.
