To thrive in a fragmented global landscape, Europe must build resilient supply chains that reduce dependency on volatile markets while enhancing the security of its critical infrastructure. Ports are uniquely positioned at the intersection of this ambition, acting in our view as hubs not only for logistics but also for energy generation and storage, as well as industrial innovation and collaboration.
European Shippers’ Council (ESC) advocates for policies and practices that enhance the competitiveness of European shippers while fostering sustainable and efficient trade flows. Our involvement aims for the perspective of those who rely on ports—the exporters, importers, and manufacturers—to be fully integrated into strategic discussions about Europe’s future.
25 July 2025, ESC submitted its feedback on EU Ports Strategy to the European Commission.
