EU roundtable: How can SMEs get ready for the new UCC?
The EU Customs Reform is about to take its final legislative shape, reshaping the customs landscape by abolishing customs declarations, altering stakeholder liabilities, introducing a single customs IT system for the entire EU, creating the Trust and Check Trader status alongside the AEO, amongst other significant changes. The changes are far-reaching, and the time to start preparing for them – so as to ensure smooth cross-border trade in goods – is now.
This roundtable is designed to support SMEs – importers, exporters, logistics companies and others – in preparing for the upcoming changes. During the roundtable, we will discuss:
- The current status of the reform
- The main changes to consider
- How to prepare effectively
- Practical examples of what preparations some SMEs are already making
Please note that we will not cover e-commerce, focusing solely on regular trade flows.
