Increased Connectedness Danish and Swedish Ports
The Roll-on Roll-of company CLdN offers new services between the Danish port of Hirtshals and the Swedish port of Gothenburg.
Hirtshals, which is located in the north of Denmark, is now being called by CLdN once a week on its way from Zeebrugge in Belgium to Gothenburg in Sweden. Since Hirtshals has frequent calls from Norway, Iceland and the Faroe Island, this new service would not only improve freight transport with Sweden, but also between all these countries and their onward transport to Gothenburg.
Additionally, as Sweden is a very important trading partner of Denmark, this new service will increase the connectedness and enhance trade between the two countries. Further trade will be stimulated by the construction of a new terminal at the port of Gothenburg, which is set for 2017.
