ESC argues for more coherent urban goods shipping
The European Shippers’ Council advocated for a more coherent view on urban goods shipping.
The ESC made its case for a more coherent view during the Global Forum in Oulu (Finland), an important meeting where thought leaders on automation meet policymakers.
In some cases the Europeaan Union, national and local policies are not in line regarding this policy. This is for examplethe case with time windows for distribution. The ESC also pointed out that the Bestfact website (www.bestfact.net), delivering best practices, can provide a good basis to build on for developing new solutions for urban shipping. Finally the ESC asked the EU to support digital solutions for shipping documents.
